Season Interupted

Skitso, Meat-in-the-Pot and I had a great hunt Monday, before the rain storms started heading this way.

Skitso was stiff and limping when we got home, not unusual in her 12th year, but she was still limping this morning, favoring her left front paw. The inside toe looked swollen to me, so off to the vet we went. Xray showed she had a little bone chip off the bone just back of the claw. So, no hunting for a couple of weeks.

Dave: Poor Skitso I have never heard of a bone chip in the paw, she is lucky she can return to business so quickly. Lucy broke a toe nail the second to last day of ducks and it will take a month to grow back. I have a pheasant hunt planed for her New Years day. Nice looking birds!

Dave, I'm sorry to hear about Stikso. And I already knew about poor Lucy. It must be a dark cloud over the Fox Board members ..... yesterday afternoon our Kaiser pulled a toenail almost loose while chasing a squirrel from the feeder in the snowstorm. Quick trip over to to the Vet on some rough roads, and here he is this morning ready for 6" of snow. There's a gore tex sock over his bandages to keep them dry, then a regular sock on top of that because the gore tex one was too slick for this morning's ice.

Birds, 'r rabbits, ducks 'r squirls," (Buckingham, p. 49).

As it should be.

Skitso is no longer limping, and we went for our walk/run down along the Spokane River yesterday and today. She should be good to go Monday when I'm supposed to take our Niece's boy friend out?!?

Is the Gore Tex sock completely waterproof, and where I do I get one?
Thanks,
Jeff

It's real gore tex and totally waterproof. I got the pair from Cabelas a few years ago.
