ok. I have this like new sterlingworth ejector brush gun. near new, except for the stock. it has been cleanly pieced back with the same wood, but it has a 13.5 lop. I need a 14.25 lop. what are my options and what would you guys do? I do have a nice piece of Bastogne walnut ive had for 15 years...and apparently I don't have this picture posting thing down, isn't there an easier way to do it in todays world? I could mail one in easier than I can post one on here.

sorry about the photobucket link, I cant make it work right. it has some pictures of the blank and the current stock on the gun. the butt is checkered. I have the matching fore arm with the blank, had it about 15 years now. need to do something with it.

Tony: My suggestion would be to send it or take it to a good stock smith along with the blank, giving him your dimensions, & let him put it right. Depending on where you are I'm sure that we here could give you some recommendations.

Best Regards, George

Check with Jason Bardon, he may have a original semi finished stock for your gun. Jason is also a very talented stock maker. Craig Larter

I spoke with jason. He is the nicest guy. He suggested a slip on pad. It does have a nice stock, and it is original wood. That would be the most economical and still a very viable option. But, i keep looking at that old blank...

You are just picking the wrong Photobucket.com link for posting pictures on most web sites. I edited your post and corrected the links, so the photos of the blank and stock show now.

I've been shooting my regular bird gun, "Meat-in-the-Pot" which turned 100 this year, and with which I'm starting my 49th season, with a lace-on Redhead pad ever since I got her in 1966.

Ive got a slip on leather pad in georgia at my buddy's house he's going to let me have back. Im going to give it a shot i think. Maybe i should sell the blank and i wont be tempted by it.thats a nice picture by the way. I cant see the gun good, but i see the forearm latch!

If it were my gun I would send it off to Mark Larson. He does outstanding work on blending wood and he could make the seam on your stock invisible. As to length he could add and blend another piece of wood or you could add a period correct recoil pad (Silvers, Galazan Period Correct or Jostam Anti Flinch if you could find one).
