Ok guys, the Fall Southern starts next week, and I'm wondering who else from the Fox Nation will be in attendance? I know Sir Klondike and myself will be there, but would love to meet some fellow Fox shooters! I'll be arriving mid day on Thursday to start shooting.

I'll shoot the 20g, 16g hammerless with Foxes, the 12g black powder with a Philly pin Fox and at least the 5-Stand and Main Event with the A grade. Shooting Parker hammer gun and DH in the prelim just to warm up for the Parker/Smith Challenge. Got a full slate of stuff to shoot!!

I will be there, if the Good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise. I'm going to drive over Friday morning, should get there about 8:30 am. Look me up. I will be scooting around in my old camo golf cart. I will be shooting a lot, but visiting a lot in between, and afterwards. (And looking for 32" small bores :D ) I'll be shooting "against" you in the Parker/Smith challenge, Mike. Plan to use my 16 gauge Smith.

I'll be doing most of my shooting with John Truitt. We'll keep an eye out for the camo cart. I'd have a hard time shooting my Smith when my Parker is so much prettier.

I know John. He is tough competition for me most years. Grant Rosser, too.

I'll be shooting 10ga Hammerless (Parker), 12ga Hammerless (Fox), 12ga Hammer (Parker), 16ga Hammerless (Fox), 20ga Hammerless (Fox), 28ga Hammer (Austrian), and of course my Parker in the Challenge Cup. Oh, and I'm going to take my Fox single barrel trap gun to shoot the Parker/Smith Trap Challenge, whether the score counts or not! With two separate large bore events (Big Bore & Prelim), all the smaller gauges, and the main event, there will be no shortage of chances to shoot. I loaded up over 1,000 rounds to take with me between the different gauges.

Mike, I don't know how many people are shooting on Thursday, but hope to get to shoot with you and John some this weekend. Stan, it will be good to see you as well. I'll be the guy arm wrestling you for the 32" small bores.

Four days and a wake up!

Mike

Mike, I'm jealous of all the gauges/configs you have. I can only serve so many masters though, and Fox didn't make a .410ga or 28ga, and certainly none with rabbit ears. The Parker's in these configurations are either rare as hens teeth and/or far too expensive. I did branch out with the 28ga Hammer Gun at the Spring Southern though, and that's working out well. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a nice D grade Hammer 10ga or a 16ga Parker Hammer Gun this weekend so I can shoot more events. It never fails though, when theses events roll around I always wish I had more guns.

Have big fun guys wish I was going to the Fall Southern but duck season is open and my Lab Lucy would never forgive me if I left town. I am looking forward to the Spring Southern already and shooting my brains out at Drakes. A bunch of my friends will be coming this year after they heard about Drakes and the Southern.
Hey you two are lucky they don't have an 8 gauge competition---that would really put a dent in the gun and ammo budget!!
As Ansley said before each pigeon shoot------Head on the stock------ Eye on the rock!! Craig

Had a great time at the Fall Southern. Shot all weekend with Shady. Good times, good times!! We each shot 845 birds in competition and that doesn't include any practice or "Can I shoot that bird again?" targets. Met Stan Hillis too. Nice guy and we got to shoot a bit together too. It was a pleasure Stan. BTW, congrats to Stan on his 5-Stand win and to Shady to his 28g hammer gun RU. Already looking forward to next year's shoots.

WOW 845 birds that's impressive! That's the definition of shooting your brains out!! It must have been well managed shoot to accommodate that much shooting.
Good going guys and it good to hear the shoot received excellent support. These friendly competitions between the different vintage SxS brands seem to be growing.
