Mills,

Very, very nice. A really great looking Pin Gun.

Is the fore end iron marked "MODEL 1911" ? I'm thinking maybe that marking applies to the later A. H. Fox Gun Co. Pin Guns.

Researcher, what think thee?

Jolly

Thanks for the compliments.

The fore end has no markings, other than the serial number.

That's a nice one. I've got one with 28" barrels (not nearly as nice as yours) that comes in at 6 lb 12 oz. What does yours weigh?

That is a nice shotgun. I don't have one of those yet. What's next on Mills' want list? Will we see you at the Northeast?

Thanks again for the compliments. Unfortunately, we won't be at the Northeast this year. Maybe next. A Super Fox is the official next item on the want list.

If you and Julia will come to the Northeast, and you let me know ahead of time, The Lovely Linda will sell you a fine original Super Fox. It is not otherwise offered for sale. She has found me to be a bit expensive to keep, and is selling a few of her guns to "maintain".

Thanks Bill. We won't be there this year, hopefully next, but we will be at Backwoods in the Fall. Hope you and the Lovely Linda come to that, with or without the Super Fox

What looks like a scuff on the fore end is just light reflecting. Also has IC/M chokes, so is a clay killing machine

Beautiful gun Mills but more importantly, who's your new hunting partner?? Will he be shooting for Team Fox or......the other guys?? :)

Bill's gonna have to come to the Fall, Mills. He's out of peanuts by now for sure. :D

I will make a standing offer to bring a free cardboard box of dried, ready to parch, homegrown peanuts from my farm to any AHFCA MEMBER who lets me know ahead of time that he/she will be at the Southern. They will be fresh picked, and ready to eat as is or take home and parch.

Mills,

Would you share the complete serial number with me so I can add your gun to my tables of observed Sterlingworths? I have three guns currently recorded in the 504xx range, my 50471 being the highest, and they all have the rounded profile to the side of the frame --

If you don't want to post the serial number here, you can email me at AHFCA@comcast.net
