It shows an unverified price of 3250 this morning. I assume that doesn't include the juice. Several friends and I had looked at this gun. Very rare - but some significant originality issues from the description and pics.

Definitely very rare, sounds like somebody may have gotten one heck of a deal at that price. The description and pics left a lot to be desired.
Thanks!!

The gun did go for $3,250 without the juice, which would have added another 20%. There were very few bidders on the gun. A left bid of $2,000 started things off, and it quickly stalled. I was bidding live through one of the auction sites, but wasn't willing to go any higher than $3,000 without seeing the gun in person. It was a heck of a deal if there are no condition/originality issues. It seemed odd to me that it had 28" barrels, and the choke configuration was questionable too. I've been sitting here wondering for days if one more bid would have taken it home.

There are 3 cards on this gun and the new owner will be very pleased when he orders the cards in my opinion. Great gun that was a very good buy for the collector interested in Savage era target guns and will settle for less than mint. I had a bid in on a gun following the Fox and was surprised how fast it sold. I have heard of many online bidders losing guns recently because the online bidding systems are not fast enough for fast moving houses like RIA. If you really want an item better to leave an absentee bid versus a online site and cheaper too.

I had a question mark after reading the RI description: that the trigger plate and single trigger were installed at a later date, but also seeing the side profile pic with what looks like a proper Kautzky shift button. Overall, I agree this was a nice buy by the lucky gent.

Thank you Tom! I was shocked when the hammer fell on this one. I was just getting warmed up! LOL!
We will shoot it at Hausmanns in June!

Scott, our fearless leader suggests that the order cards are very interesting. Can you possibly share the card information with us? Thanks.

Wow, that's nice Scott. I'm glad it went to somebody on this site. Without having done the proper research I only had so much in me before bailing out. If I had taken the time, you're right, we might have gone a few rounds.

Hey, at least now I know that it would have taken a lot more than one bid to add this to my stable of foxes! I'm happy to see the cards match the gun description, and the condition looks amazing from the photos you posted. I hope I get to see it in June at Hausmann's.

Scott, you have a real winner there. I couldn't agree with Mike more. When I looked at the gun on the RI website I had some questions based on the description, and in net I should have advised three friends who asked me to look at it, to request more and better pics. I probably wouldn't have bid on it myself but at that price I would have been really tempted to jump in. In any case I'm happy that a good Fox man has it and you made a really good deal. I look forward to seeing you and your new Trap Grade/Skeeter/Skeet at the NE SxS at Hidden Hollow next month.
