REMOVING SW HAMMER

Removed the set screw.
Drifted the pin half way out.
Removed punch.
Now would anyone share the safe way to remove and return the hammer without sending parts or blood flying?
I searched the forums but found no instructions.
Thanks.

I take a medium size flathead screwdriver and file a small notch in center of it.Have frame upside down in a good vise and push forward on hammer to work hammer over the rail in frame.Takes a little time to work it out.Never had parts to fly away, yet. bobby

Bobby,
Thanks a lot. I assume installation is the reversal. If not please let me know.

Jerry, same to install.Make you a pin slightly smaller than hammer pin, with one end slightly pointed to get hammer in place. Then drive hammer pin in from other side, carefully. Bobby

Bobby,
Thanks. Using a large finish nail minus head that is slightly smaller than the pin to align/locate holes.
