Hi back again, still trying to solve the picture crisis.One thing I have a Question on is,there are no barrel weight markings on the underside of barrel.Why.

This is not uncommon... the stamps were often times filed off when they were struck/finished at the factory.

I weigh my barrels and compare the weights to the chart in McIntosh to determine where my barrels fall in the number category. Just bought an early A project gun, barrels were unmarked, weighed right to the ounce as #3 barrels, no fuss, no muss.

thanx,just woundering why,on a gun that is in really good condition,that hasnt been refinished,why there are no weight markings.So they filed some off?
