Re: fit metal an wood 16 ga.fore end
I do almost all my own work and thus I'm not up to date on the who's who of modern Fox gunsmiths. So I can't give you a recommendation. You didn't mention ejector or extractor but let me offer some advice that many of the parts that are currently available are not fully machined/finished and it will take a good man to get them to work. For example I looked over a bunch of Fox ejector parts in September while at the Vintage Cup and found that the ejector sears and hammers were incompletely machined and of course not yet hardened. I bought them anyway because that's all that's available nowadays and I couldn't find any from a parts gun. The gent had a few 12 gauge extractor and ejector forend irons but they were in the rough and had to be finished and engraved. I also needed two forend latches and all he had were rough unfinished ones and I passed on those. Decided to wait and find those from a Fox that's being parted out. You mentioned a 16 gauge forend and if you don't already have one you should be aware there are subtle differences between some of the 16 and 20 gauge irons, and usually one that's already been contoured for 20 gauge will not properly fit 16, and vice versa.
This is all I can offer and I ask gents to who have gotten help here themselves, to help out Mr. Coalbin with recommendations for 'smiths who have done good forend fitting work for you. Merry Christmas to all !

Jack,
Not sure I'm completely understanding your request but if you're looking for someone to fit a new forearm to your gun, I would recommend Craig Libhart at Susuquehanna Stockworks in Bainbridge http://susquehannastockworks.com/index.html I'm not sure if he would do the metal fitting but you can call him and ask. Craig's a really nice guy and does excellent work. Merry Christmas.

Jack,
Keith Kearcher has fitted one Fox fore-end to a new set of barrels for me and tightened up another Fox that had a fore-end that "moved" when the gun was broken open. Excellent work on both, great turnaround time, and very fair pricing, IMO.
All my best, SRH
