Old photo we found in a safe we thought empty all these years I think this was taken late 40's after the war, on the left my great grandfather with the SxS then my grandmother & grandfather using a magnifying glass looks to have a single barrel vent rib shotgun. The two young men I believe are range workers.
I have the SxS A FH Fox has been mine for the last 50 years or so & yes I shoot it.

Great shot. Please tell us more. Where was that photographed? It looks to be a small trap mounted on a portable wagon of some sort?. What grade of Fox did you inherit? Whatever it is, what a treasure to be passed down several generations and still have the ability to bust clays or take game. We love to hear about family guns!!! Thanks for posting.----TOOL

Picture was taken in Ferndale MI very late 30's Shotgun is a 12 ga A H Fox Sterlingworth 28 inch barrels, full/modified has the Phillie steel barrel info stamped, not sure how it came from the chamber wise but it does have 2 3/4 chambers. It has nice wood and locks up tight as a drum. I load a mild 1 oz & 7/8 oz 12 ga that shoot fine in it.

Great stuff, Tom. Enjoy your Sterly and if I were you, I would try to get that photo enhanced/restored. Thanks to the digital age, they can do amazing things to old B&W photographs even without the negative. That picture deserves a spot in a very special place.
