Hello,
I recently acquired a Fox Sterlingworth. I have not seen it yet (my brother picked it up for me). The markings on the underside of the barrels is distinctly marked "10 GA" Can anyone tell me what this means? Thanks.
Ken

I'd sure like to see pictures of a Sterlingworth with those markings. IMO, they are either illegitimate (put on after it left the Fox factory) or they are being misread. Any other possibility is most too much to comprehend. Please post pics if possible, Ken.

Thanks, SRH

Ken,

I can see the 10 GA. marking on the barrel flats. I have no explanation for that, other than my previous one, that it was marked so after leaving the factory. I am aware of no 10 ga. that ever left the Fox factory. If you can do some measuring after receiving the gun you may be able to determine more as to why it is marked that way. Could you take some better photos after getting the gun in hand, and do you have access to a good bore guage ?

Thanks, SRH

Hello Stan,

Once I receive it, I will take more detailed photos and have the bores gauged. I should have this information early next week.
