Recoil pad replaced

Its a NOS but not really what was on there, the original pad was so hard and brittle it was just crumbling. I plan on shooting a little trap with it.
Its a 100 years old so should be fun, it does have 2 3/4 inch chambers so 1 oz and a little Clays at 1100 fps should be okay.

No offense, but did your gunsmith grind this thing whlle it was on the gun like it looks? That's the way it looks and that's not the way it's supposed to be done. I would be very disappointed and would tell us who he is so we can avoid him. On a nice original gun this job would take hundreds of dollars off the value. Of course, I may have read the photo wrong.

No, I even went back an double checked it the old finish is untouched, not sure what causes that look maybe the cell phone camera?
