Sorry, I made a previous post that I guess was against the rules and was removed. So lets start over. I have a 12 ga c grade fox shotgun. It has sat unused for at least 52 years, that I know of, and I don't know how long before that it sat in a closet. Except for 2 shells I shot to see if it worked O.K. when I got it. And It did. That was about 20 years ago. It was my step dads before that. That's how I know how long it hasn't been used. The gun has all its bluing on the barrels. The engraving looks all there. There is some pitting on the underside of the left barrel about midway, but nothing to bad. The barrels look clean and shinny inside, no visible damage. No rust that I can see. The only damage I can see other then normal small dings in the stock, again nothing bad,is the bottom of the but plate has a dent in it, like someone slipped and set her down hard. So I'd say she is in pretty good shape. I'll try and get some photos this week end, and see if I can figure out how to post them. On the barrels it says on the right one on top "Krupp Fluid Steel Made By". On the left one " A.H.Fox Gun Co. Phila. Pa". On the trigger guard tang it is engraved"19326."On the action inside on the left side it reads "Pat D Dec.2. 1902" under that "Aug.16.1904 - Aug. 1. 1905". under that "Oct.17.1905- Jan.6. 1906". On the right side it says "19326 C". Under the barrels on the plate it reads on the left side "C 19326". On the right side "Fox Proof" in an oval. On the underside of both barrels it reads "-Fluid-Steel-Krupp-Essen-". Under the forend grip it has "Pat D, and Aug.8.1904, May 11 1909, May 2 1911", one on top of the other. I an sorry if I used the wrong terminalogy for parts of the gun, but I'm not a shot gun person, mostly rifles and handguns. So if anyone here can tell me anything about this gun, or where to look for information, I would be most thankful.
