I know this is not a Fox but, I thought since I have been posting my collection and dropping names like Nash Buckingham and Henry Bartholomew I should provide some provenance. Here is Mr. Buckingham's book Ole Miss addressed to my Great Grandfather. I am currently working on photographing the rest of the shotguns and will also share my photos and other books. Please keep your eyes out and please share any comments. I am also trying to get as many stories out of my 93 year old Grandfather who spent many weekends shooting at Mr. Bartholomew's home on the Potomac with Mr. Buckingham. Once my research is complete I will be sure to share.

Mister engleja,

Since you have been so generous and open to post the photographs and grace us with that information I hereby pledge to pay your first year's membership to the Fox Collector's Association. It would be my pleasure to invite you in such a way. Consider this a firm offer.

Thanks you for being so open and generous with your treasures. I was privileged to spend one rainy October afternoon with Bo Whoop 1, a couple years ago, and can well appreciate what you have.

All my best, Stan R. Hillis

Mr. Hillis,
You are very kind. I am so flattered and humbled by all this association has offered. I look forward to building friendships and acquaintanceships in the future and have every intention of bringing this collection to a place where it can be studied and appreciated by all of you. My Great Grandfather would insist on it. I feel it is my duty. The date and time of this meeting is yet unknown but I hope we can all figure it out together so everyone can benefit. I keep thinking that maybe a meeting at my family's Inn and Tavern in Middleburg, VA might be a suitable place. I is called the Red Fox Inn aka "The Fox." How appropriate it would be to have A.H. Fox Collectors Association at "The Fox." Back to your generous offer, as soon as I have the time I plan on become a life member and start to obtain the cards on all these wonderful shotguns.

Many thanks,
Jonathan
