Kind of ironic, the man who ordered the gun was named Parker.

Maybe he was an outcast of the Parker clan. I haven't been able to find out much about him. There was an ER Parker listed as a participant in a rifle match about that time. My son found one in the Carolina's about 1914. The gun was built for a specific purpose and apparently never shot much. My photos washed out the color on the metal. It is actually about 99 percent there. The top lever is farther to the right than any of my other guns. I would appreciate any other information that any of you may have. Thanks. John

Not so ironic, actually. Ansley Fox shot a Parker.

LOGGY,
Great gun and that production workflow card is AWESOME!!! My God, the initials of every craftsman involved and the time it took to complete each step. What a FOX treasure and a glimpse into the window of N. 18th and Windram!!!!! Unlike the Parker factory in Meriden, we know so damn little about the masters who produced the objects of our desire. Congrats.-----TOOLMAN
PS----and yes, nothing tickles me more than a Parker guy buying a FOX!!!!!! Every once in a while, a few of them actually "get it" !!!!!

TOOLMAN,
I was also very excited to find it with the gun. A special thanks to Jolly Bill for making it available on the website.

Everything on that workcard is intuitive to me, except the second step..."bucking."

Mike, I have looked through my books and google and can't find the term. I emailed Stephen Dodd Hughes and he is not familiar with this word as a gun making term. Hopefully someone will have an answer. John

a "bucking" bar supports the inside of a tube when installing rivets - I wonder if there was a step in the barrel joining that required similar internal support
