A local shop has one that could make a nice project gun. Barrels locked up tight but the lever was approaching left of center. Biggest problem I saw was a cracked stock. It appeared to be have been repaired with care and it may be sound to shoot as is. Three weight barrels and I would guess 28" from my eyeballing. Price was $1100.

I was tempted myself but am looking for a graded smallbore so I had to pinch the pennies. I'd be happy to provide contact info for the shop but I can't say if they sell out of state. I have no financial interest in this gun just trying to do my good deed for the week.

Matt

PS - I'm in Maryland

What repairs are in order if the lever is left of center or does this just indicate it has been shot a lot? What area of MD ? I live in MD also.
Thanks

I think it's an indication of it being shot a good bit. I don't remember opening and closing the action to be difficult.

I forgot to mention the barrels had a nice ring so I'm assuming the ribs are fine.

I live near Frederick.
