Brian......We had the Traps set up a Fairfield Maine........Baited with Photos of Nash Buckingham with his 'Lost-Missing" BO-WHOOP".....Have you sen the 'Reward Posters" that will be circulating on the Internet???I have heard that a High-School "Kid"is organizing a 'Treasure-Hunt' all around the Town of Clarendon AR. They have pinpointed the Aprox. area where the Orig. B/Whoop could have 'Hit The Dirt"......What do you think 'Ole George L' will do with "His Original BO WOP', if another one turns up'???? Foxed Chisels......

"Old Miss" has a picture of Bo Whoop #1 on pages 140 and 141. My copy is missing those pages. Could someone post a picture of that representation of Bo #1 for our enjoyment? Since it is a 1937 publication, Bo should be in pretty good shape.

Me thinks that the supposed custodian of the photos of Bo Whoop woulod have come through with them if he had them.

I find it humorous that he starts name callig at everyone who questions him. He has nothing to loose by showing the pics. He has everythign to gain showing the pics. The he says he doesnt know how to post them. Christ, any 12 year old relataive can do that for him.

It smells .

Dearest Brian & DT: Have you nothing better to do than attempt to assassinate the character of someone you have never met? Your lives must be boring as hell! Brian, when it comes to name "callig" you are the champ (or is it chump)? "Everythign" you utter seems to smack of envy that I may have seen something and you didn't. Perhaps you both can find another site where you can continue your babble. DT most of your posts are practically incomprehensible to normal human beings although you obviously posess a vast storehouse of knowledge as pertaining to double guns.

I was at Pintail Point & Easton on Thursday, Friday & Saturday. I spoke to the two guys manning the incredible Fox display, told them who I was (they were aware of the "Bo-Whoop, Wup, Wop" controversy) and offered for them to stop by my hotel, The Tidewater Inn, and look at my photos of "Bo-Wup" and my copy of the Fox Historian's letter. They didn't come.

I've decided not to post the photos or the letter. It is inconsequential to me if folks like you believe me or not. I saw what I saw. I held "Bo-Wup" on several occasions with the new stock (an exact duplicate of the old, which was also present). And so, you are free to believe what you will. I, on the other hand, feel fortunate to have held a treasured icon from the past that is no longer lost.

Best Regards, George

I don't know anything about the recent travels of Bo-Whoop but will say I had some dealings with Mr. Lander a year or two ago. He was honest, treated me with respect, and I came away with good feelings for the deal and the gentleman. Silvers

name calling?????

George,
Quite the contrary, I have never called you a name of any sort. Have I questioned the existance of the photos.? Sure have. Do I question if its all BS. ? Sure do. But jeez George, get a grip. Envy? That almost has me laughing.

When there were all the questions about the Czars Parker, there was a lot of questions as to authenticity, existence, etc. Many a perosn on the bBS board questioned those who saw the gun. I didnt see them have ahissy fit that they were called to task on the gun. The photos that were produced and the examination by DT finished that off. ANd no one had their feelings hurt in the end.

You have no problem casting aspersions about us. Oh, sorry , now I guess I sound like DT, AKA Chrossed Chisels.

And now you are going to have a tantrum and not show us the photos?

George, You know nothing about me. You dont know who or what I am. My life boring? Hardly. Since you brought it up. How about a year in Afghanistan, then throw a year in Iraq on top of that. Boring enough for you. I am sure you would not think of it as a boring life if you spent a little time down range yourself. Maybe you have and if so I take my hat off. But dont you go name calling and assassinating the character of board members. I dont know of anyone who has ever hunted, fished, bought or sold guns, cars or much of anything else that wasnt called a BullS**ter at elast once in their life. If that is character assassination then we are all dead.

As for DT, well you were the one to pose the question of whether or not he was qualified to stock a Purdey in the first place. Anyone who has been on the BBS or has any real knowledge of souble guns knows that his reputation preceds him. His credentials are above reproach.

So, in closing I will take the high road and if I have offended your sensabilities, for that I apologize. But , unless you are willing to take ciritcism, good natured ribbing, ball breaking and most of the other forms of adult male banter, maybe the SSMB might be a better palce for more civilized chatter.
Its in your court.

PS Thanks for the spelling lesson but itz mi typing skilz that r the cawz, not mi lak uv egucashun

Brian: When someone I don't know says that I'm full of s**t I call that name calling, but thanks for the apology. I know who David is and am well aware of his credentials in the double gun world. Questioning someone's statement is fine with me without the off-color remarks. Yes I was downrange on more than one occassion in the mid-60s and I know what it feels like to be shot at both literally & verbally. Pug thought enough of the Czar's Parker to pay 285 grand for it. I wasn't on this forum when that was going on. I'll have to look it up. Let's call a truce on this matter and get on to better things.

Best Regards, George

Thanks, Silvers. I remember you as well and the gentlemanly way in which you conducted yourself. I sincerely hope that you might make it to Columbia on December 8th. for the first ever sporting guns auction at Charlton Hall. It is shaping up to be something special. If not, please let me know and I will see to it that you receive a catalogue.

Best Regards, George

George, thanks for your offer on the auction but I am downsizing guns of late. I just had accumulated too many and most of them stayed in the back of the safe. Silvers
