Fox Skeet bore choke restrictions

I don't remember ever seeing this subject discussed so I have to ask some folks that are more knowledgeable of Fox guns if they know. The question is did Fox/Savage have specific choke restrictions for guns ordered in Skeet configuration or was choke restriction left to the buyer to specify?

Here are the specs for the right barrel choking in two typical Fox Skeet & Upland 12 gauge guns:
#1.... bore .731, choked to .724, then reverse-choked to .742 at the muzzle (hourglass profile like the Winchester WS-1 choke)
#2.... bore .729, choked to .724, then reverse-choked to .743 at the muzzle (ditto above)
The reverse or "bell choke" at the muzzle is about 1.00" long

Here's a photo of the right barrel on my late 30s Skeet & Upland 12 ga. Don't have my specs handy but if I remember correctly the left barrel is choked approx .004.

Silvers if I am interpreting your post correctly for a 12 gauge gun the the skeet chokes run approximately .005 to .007 with a bell of .010. Is that correct? Interesting that Savage copied a Winchester design.

I'm not sure which came first, the WS-1 choke, or the Fox Skeet choke. Parallel path research, or one company copying the other's design? The Fox "bell" is something like .018" > the
choke diameter, measured at the muzzle. And is about .012" > the
bore diameter in the two examples I cited.
It would be interesting to do some comparison patterning of the Fox Skeet choke with bare shot loads the gun was designed for, versus modern plastic shotcup type shells. Good subject for a newsletter article....
