Ashley Fox?

I was watching the Outdoor Channel this week and they were doing a show on double barrels. One of the "researchers" kept referring to Mr. Fox as Ashley Fox. Come on! If you are going to do that kind of research at least get the name right. He did have nice things to say about Foxes however.

There was an article on Fox shotguns in Guns & Ammo magazine back in the 60s or 70s where they spelled our hero's name Ainsley throughout.
Our hero's mother was Louisa Ansley, daughter of Jesse Ansley of Georgia, who was instrumental in the production of knock-off Colt revolvers by the firm of Rigdon & Ansley during the Northern War of Aggression.

From the book, The Confederate Colt, it appears that machinery to make the knock-off Colt revolvers spent more time being shuttled from place to place ahead of Union troops, than it did set up and making revolvers! As I recall Rigdon & Ansley was the last gasp.
