Our 5th Annual Bo-Whoop Long Range Shoot is complete. We had excellent weather today. 97 shooters participated over the two day event. More details and pics will be posted here once we all get back home and caught up. The NE Side by Side continues into tomorrow with Hidden Hollow's Main Event.
We are pleased to announce that our 2012 Bo-Whoop Champion is Tom Wyraz "Marshfellow" of NY, who shot an outstanding score of 4 ex 10 targets using his 32-inch XE/HE Super Fox. This was quite an achievement; Tom actually fired at only 8 targets. He "lost" his first pair because someone who looked at his gun earlier, put Tom's gun on safe, and he didn't notice it before calling for the first pair. Tom's XE/HE has an independent safety and he's used to shooting the gun without having put it in fire position. Same as in hunting, live bird shooting etc..... birds are attempted, gun doesn't go off, birds fly away, end of story.
Our 2012 Bo-Whoop Runner Up is Mike Campbell of New York, also with a score of 4 dead targets. Mike shot very well with his 32-inch Custom Fox Sterlingworth.
Both scores were the same but Tom won out on the long run with 3 broken birds in series, versus 2 for Mike.
We are also pleased to announce that our 2012 First Place Winner is J.D. Shank of PA. J D shot an outstanding score of 5 ex 10 using a W & C Scott 12 gauge Pigeon Gun, and he took the the First place honors and purse. The WCS did not qualify for the B-W Trophy because it's not a Fox.
Last but not least, our 2012 Youth Champion is Sam Burgett of PA. Sam did very well with a score of 2 ex 10 using a 12 gauge Fox Sterlingworth. Sam's entire family have been Fox enthusiasts for many years.
We sincerely thank all the competitors who made this Event our best one to date!
