Fox Collectors

Hello I am new to this Forum Site I have just purchased my First A.H.FOX/SAVAGE MADE SHOTGUN. I hope to post some pictures here . Two of your members are helping me get started . I do have a letter from J.T.Callahan but in some ways it opened some questions as well as answered some.


EDIT I did look at how to post more pictures But two things hold me back from doing that the biggest Is I don't want to use a HOSTING SITE I keep all my pictures on memory sticks . I don't want just anyone to be able to see my Fire arm pictures . The other reason is IT is too complicated for my old tiny brain to get correct I had one site Village Photo that was free and easy to manage but it went under last year . If anyone wants pictures ALL THEY have to do is send me a personal email at karlwoerner@vatractor.com Monday Tuesday or Thursday that is my work address and I can send pictures direct as an attachment

There are about nine guns in this odd 4500xx serial number range. They are discussed in Michael McIntosh's book on Fox, pages 312 and 313. Your gun looks like what is pictured as the Skeeter in the first Savage era catalogue which was used from 1931 through 34 --



However, it was only mentioned on the 1931 retail price list and in the 1931 Wholesale Price List --

Could you please post some closeups of the forearm wood and underneath forearm metal?

I don't seem to be able to post more then 2 or 3 pictures as an Edit still learning how this site works . . I do have a number of other pictures.
