I recently aquired an older gent's reloading equipment. It the stuff I got is 2,400 CCI 157 shot shell primers. Can anyone tell me about them? Can anyone or can they be used for anything in this day and time? If anyone is interested in them I can sent them to the NE SxS this weekend.
Thx,
Alan

If I remember correctly, they are slightly narrower and perhaps even longer than the 209 family of primers. They were used primarily with Remington Peters hulls and can be substituted (at lease sizewise) with Remington 57's and Alcan 57's. Old Alcan all brass shells were sized for these as well.

ROMAC is correct. The CCI 157 is interchangeable for size with the Remington 57. Anyone with a large stash of paper tubed or very early plastic Remington hulls would love to have them.
