reassembly question on a Fox Sterlingworth

Was wondering if there was any trick to getting the trip pin in the right position upon reassembly? I had no trouble following step #2 listed below. Now my lever is to the left and want to get the trip pin in the right position without putting it together wrong. Any advice?

2) Applying pressure on the lever to the right and pushing down with a screwdriver on the trip pin in the rib extension recess allows me to ease the lever back to the center position. Note the trip pin has 2 flat sides at right angles...upon reassembly, one flat faces to the rear and the other towards the right barrel.

Thanks,
Clay

Claborn.the round part goes to the front.Hold the toplever to right slightly and push down trip pin and toplever should remain open when you push it more to right.Of course you have frame up side down and lever would be to left. Bobby

Can you rotate and adjust the trip pin with the gun fully assembled, or do you have to adjust the trip pin before you start to reassemble. Make any sense?

I never heard of adjusting the trip pin. They can wear and rotary bolt will not stay all the way out of way when gun is open.Yes,all you do is put frame in vise, trigger plate up,remove trigger plate screw in front of trigger guard, take some tweezers and pull trip spring out, then hold top lever over slightly and take a punch smaller than trip pin and push pin up from bottom and remove it.
