Without photos and a letter is would suspect this is someones custom project. The single trigger if it is a Kautzki and ejectors would be correct factory items but the Simmons add on rib, odd barrel length and Turkish wood are not.

An obvious issue is that 79922 is a Sterlingworth serial number, not a graded Fox. If 79922 is correct, it shouldn't have a C stamp on the frame and/or on the barrels. Silvers

the wood may not be turkish but its high grade like you would expect on a c grade

Whatever it is it is not a purpose built skeet gun as skeet wasn't invented until 1915 and become a popular sport until the early 1920s.

Could that be a Savage Proof mark from a rebarrel or some such after production rather than a grade marking.
Photos??

Thanks.....I thought MAYBE it went back to the factory (Savage Arms) for the rib....hence the SP Savage proof. With "simmons" on there that blows the hell out of that theory.
