For you AHFox experts...

I came across an AH Fox 12g Grade AE with ejectors. The barrel is 30 inches, right choked as Mod and left as Full. It has the original manufacturers case with 98% colors still intact, and full scroll engraving. It also has plain stripping, which I'm told is indicative of an earlier model. It also has a pistol grip with a hard rubber AH butt plate. In the case is a letter of authenticity. Any idea what this might be worth? Any criticism or pointers on what to look for would be greatly appreciated, as I am new to AH Fox weapons.
Thanks,
J. Fox

I don't know of an AE-Grade ever having "scroll" engraving. The early style A-/AE-Grades from 1905 to 1913 had a simple line border engraving --

The 1914 and later A-/AE-Grades were engraved in a foliat pattern with Ansley H. Fox in a banner on the sides of the frame --

Ansley H. Fox doubles in 12-gauge with 30-inch barrels are far and away the most common configuration, and with the A-/AE-Grade being the entry level graded gun it is far and away the most common. So, unless having some special features, or being in exceptionally high condition, it is hard to get a 12-gauge 30-inch A-/AE-Grade much over a couple of grand. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of dealers out there asking more!!

If you post several pictures of your gun, we can probably tell you more than my speculations here.
