Who would you recommend to do a trigger job on a sterlingworth? The triggers on mine are very heavy. Is this normal?

What should I expect to pay? Called briley and they said it would run $150, has any one used them for trigger work? I know that they have a good rep for chokes ect.

"Very heavy" is somewhat subjective. Have you measured the pulls with a trigger pull gauge? Typical Fox factory pulls should be in the 4-7 pound range with very little if any takeup - like snapping a glass rod.

I know you asked for sources and pricing but let me offer some comments. Usually trigger jobs are unnecessary unless someone has previously goofed with the factory sear/hammer setup. Check first to see if the trigger pivots and sear axle holes are free of rust/corrosion or old congealed grease. To do this you'll have to remove the trigger plate - instructions are on our home page - and be sure to have the correct screwdrivers or bits. Some bore cleaner followed by blowing out with compressed air, then lubrication with a light oil, usually works wonders.

I strongly advise against trying to do this by squirting liquids in the frame without taking it apart. The stuff will migrate and be absorbed by the wood. Silvers

Opened the gun up and cleaned it real well. It was not bad at all. Put a little oil in it an reassimbled. The triggers are still heavy, Aprox. 11 and 13 pounds! I will be sending it to someone.
