Bending a Sterlingworth Stock

Hi all,

I'm a little skeptical of the idea of bending an 80 year old piece of wood, but that 3" drop is killing me. Is this even feasible and if so how much could I expect it to be raised by? Any recommendations on who who could bend the stock and perhaps "refresh" the wood finish would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Chris

I had a 20-ga. Sterlingworth stock that had a 2 3/4" drop that I asked Mike Orlen to bend up as far as he felt comfortable doing, he returned it having a 2 3/8" drop at heel. Your results may vary...

Hello Chris,
We have had very good luck with bending 1/2" to 3/4" up or down. It will depend on the condition of your stock but we have bent stocks much older than yours with good results. If you need more information let me know....

If these fellows say they can do it..........they can.
They are superb 'smiths, who know what they are doing.
