16 guage A grade I think

I have a 16 guage A H Fox with serial number 302296. I dont know much about it other than that my Grandpa gave it to me. What do I need to do to get it correctly identified and appraised? Here are two quick pics of it.

You can get a "factory" letter on the gun from the Savage historian --
