Looking at a 12 Sterlingworth. I enjoy the 20 gauge Sterlingworth I have, this one appears to have been refinished, barrels reblued- 28" barrels, extractors, double triggers, Jostam red vented pad expertly installed. SN is 111790, different series of numbers than on my 20. Anyway of knowing when this 12 was made? Great handling, about 7 and 1/2 lbs. is my guess, solid lock up, lever to right of center when closed--is 4 figures a fair price for a 12 Sterlingworth today from a dealer? Thanks

Most probably you won't get a good one much cheaper than that.
Just My Humble Opinion.....George

If you want an original gun I believe there are other ones out there at less then a thousand that have decent case color, good bores etc. Over a thousand for a refinished 12 gauge SW sounds a tad steep to me.
