Problems signing on to the Fox site???

Post by Silvers »

I have a computer that's only about 6 months old and occasionally have long delays signing on, or can't sign on at all. But if I try some of my other favorites at those times, they come right up. Then if I try the Fox site a few minutes later it works just fine.

If I try the connection diagnostic when I have difficulties it comes back and says everything checks out, no problems.

Wondering if anyone else has had this difficulty or if this is a situation with my IP. Thanks for any comments. Silvers

I've been having the same problem, Frank. As a matter of fact, earlier this morning I tried to log on here and this occured, I then zoomed to a few other favorites without delay and then came back here without any delay...maybe the stars weren't in line.

Yeah Greg the last time it happened to me was also earlier today. As I wrote, I went to other favorite sites and they came right up. Let's see if anyone else has this situation. Frank

I have had issues where this site will suddenly take a very long time to load. Not always when I first get on ... sometime just switching pages. do something else for a minute and come back and it works normally again. Maybe the server that this site is on?
Cheers!

One thing I have noticed is that when I first turn my computer on it is slow for any sites but the home page (Google News). I think it is the Norton anti-virus doing its checks.

Once the computer has been on for a few minutes, things happen faster.

I was on earlier today and had no problems.

From time to time Dave Weber's doublegunshop.com is very slow for me, but I haven't had any troubles here. I have Kaspersky PC Security.

It may be the cookies. I used to have this problem, too. But, recently we had our computer scanned for infections (there weren't any) and installed WebRoot Security in place of Norton and some other one I can't remember right now and it helped us clean out all the cookies. No more problems with being slow to come up.
