I just got my letter from Mr. Callahan on my A grade #202xx, and it is a match to the gun for specifications. However, this is a two barrel set and I have suspected the gun was returned for the second set at a later date. Are there other records that might show when this was done, or are there any markings I need to look for to indicate a return such as other gun companys used? The gun was shipped 11/3/1912 with Krupp barrels. The second is also Krupp with tighter chokes. Each set has it's own forend that is numbered to each barrel set. The #2 set serial matches the gun and is not an overstrike of numbers to make a match so I'm sure they are a factory addition. Also, the #1 set has been so marked on the barrels and forend iron with the same size characters as on the #2 set, and the marks are fresh and shiney looking as they were struck after the barrels were finished. Does Mr. Callahan have these records also, or someone else perhaps? I did find the gun was shipped to J.M.K. Southwick Estate Co. and was able to find a bio on them in Rhode Island. Have no clue as to how the gun got to Kansas. Thanks guys. Lee.

As far as we know, such records no longer exist.
