Lee that's a fine old gun and some good looking birds you got there. Good thing you pulled the trigger on that bird at 15 yards in another minute he would have been in the blind with you. This late in the season those old Tom's get a bit crazy.

Lee,
That is one gutsy looking A-grade. Tell us about her.
I was trying to measure the barrels by multiplying beard length.....though somehow I think a Stanley tape would be more accurate...LOL. Are those 30" tubes or 32's??
Great stuff!!!!!-----TOOLMAN

You are right twice barrel. I shot it one handed as I couldn't get turned around on my stool. The old Fox bit me back with a nice scrape from the triggerguard. Tool man, she has a set of 30" full and extra full, and a set of 28" Imp/Mod and Mod barrels. They are numbered to the gun and each has it's own forend, also numbered to the gun and to each set of barrels it fits. That is the original wood finish with nicks and dings. The checkering on the stock and forends is still about 80% with some points still showing on the forends. The barrels are Krupp of course with the 1912 serial # and marked as the Fox site shows they should be. There is about 65% to 70% faded thin case still there, and the barrel blue is 80% plus on both sets and original. The pad is a Jostam Hy Gun. The barrels are bright but not necessarily mirror. I may have them honed a little but don't plan any further refinish. After all, at 97 years old one should show a little honest character marks. {applys to the owner also.} I'm getting a letter soon as I have only had the gun a short while.
