Are all 12 guage HEs over bored?

Yes. There appears to be three groups. The early guns are .750, then a group are bored .745, the majority are bored .739. I have measured a 8lb 8oz CE that has a letter that says heavy as possible. It is on a HE frame but the bores measure a standard .729.

How about Styerlingworth Wildfowls?

Thanks, Craig. Was the Sterlingworth Wildfowl also always overbored?

My Fox-Sterlingworth Wildfowl isn't. Also, some years ago when Tony had a minty Savage-era HE in stock we measured it when I was there and its bores were only .731"

Well, I guess there are 4 groups of bore size for 12 ga HEs then: .750, .745, .739 and .730. Would you say that only those over bored can be called a "Super Fox"?
