Is the serial number stamped anywhere on the stock of a SW?

Yes, at the head of the stock, which requires removal of the stock to see it.

Got it. Thanks. BTW, after pulling the tigger plate, there was enough play in the stock to pull it away just enough to read the numbers.

Is there also a number on the forearm wood?
