there is a 20 gauge on gun brokers that says 1939 with Utica Address.

says savage on barrel

could this be original or is this a replacement barrel?

Thanks from a novice!

Some of the later guns are marked SPECIAL ALLOY ---- FORGED STEEL.
The earlier Sterlingworths will be marked STERLINGWORTH FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL. With a 1939 production date, the 2 3/4" marking would also be likely for original barrels. Do the #'s on bbls. match the water table #'s?

That sounds exactly right for a 1939-vintage gun. This is from a 1939-vintage 12-gauge Fox-Sterlingworth --

This particular picture is from a 1936 gun --
