A Vixen gets the Game

43-degrees this morning here in PA, the leaves are turning and thoughts get to hunting. Our grouse season starts in a few weeks and my 20 bore straight grip Sterlingworth has already moved up to the front of the safe. Her name is Vixen and she's a 1913 Fox who's served me well for many years. 28" tubes and bored Mod & I-Mod. I was out in the mountains today, checked the cabin and remembered this Red Letter scene on the steps ..... a daily limit of two birds taken nearby that morning.

I’d love a 43 degree start to the day. Hot & humid in MI! Looks like a little relief end of next week.
