Forearm lug needs to be removed from the Sterly barrel and replaced with a graded lug. Good smith can do it. I almost did it on a 20 gauge before I found a graded barrel.

Correct me if I'm wrong Bobby, but the snap on graded forearms were only on the earliest 20 and 16 gauge. So if you have have a sterly 20 or 16 gauge barrel it will fit on a early small bore graded gun only.

Also, the early small bore extractor guns, both Sterlingworth and graded, used the Fox & Kremer latch snap-on/-off forearm --

while the ejector guns used the F.T. Russell latch.

Later the extractor guns began using the F.T. Russell latch as well.
