I have an opportunity to buy a 20 Ga AE but there is no fore end. any complete fore ends around? any idea what they have been going for. I don't want to get too deep into this is the fore end is prohibitive. what can I expect to pay for a complele ejector fore end and wood?

Ditto Traventall (sp?), contact Jason but tread carefully! Smallbore Fox ejector forends are the very devil to inlet correctly and accurately to the fe wood; the outer sides and underwood surfaces are wafer thin and easily broken or damaged in use. If you can find an intact one, it may still require fine fitting at the knuckle. I once had a really nice 20 ga. AE that needed some trigger work; when I went to pick it up the smith told me that when he went to reassemble and test fire the gun after correcting the trigger problem, the forend wood completely separated from the forend iron! Apparently someone had used plastic wood or some other c. 1950s soft-to-hard glue to repair a crack in the fe and over time it deteriorated into oatmeal. Using my original intact fe iron, new forend wood cost me $900! Kevin

I have been told by a couple of stock makers that it is every bit as much work to inlet and shape a smallbore Ansley H. Fox ejector forearm as to make a stock and very hard to charge as much as they should for that little piece of wood!

Indeed. If I mention restocking a Fox with an extractor forearm restock they nod. If I mention ejector they make a frown and the price goes up at least 500 dollars more.

Yep. Here’s my 20 ga AE two barrel set. One forend will fit both barrels. The other only fits one.
