Introductions, Please.

The membership thread got me thinking about how the group has grown. and while names are familiar I really know only a few of the members. I am sure this is common on these groups so I think it would be nice to have some introductions and possibly photos of one of your favorite Fox guns.
I know some folks want to keep their anonymity and that is fine but a little info about yourself and use of Fox guns would be interesting.
I will even start. I am in the midst of my 60's, ( that seems to have happened fast) retired from the communication industry and currently a wildlife photographer/Photo Workshop leader. I specialize in things that shoot back, as they say. Mostly Grizzlies and Wolves these days.
I use my Fox guns for hunting waterfowl and more so, upland birds. I didn't start to be a collector but rather an accumulator.
Some of my guns can be seen at.

Mr. Birdawg,
I second the motion of intro's! I have been very fortunate to meet many members of "this little community" face to face but I have interacted with many more via nothing more than these typed words. I think it is a neat idea to put a name with a face...and for those who wish to remain anonymous...thats just fine too.
In the final throws of 2008 I give you my personas....both black and white, in the interest of being politically correct. (notsomuch!!!!)

Happy New Year Everyone!
I just thought I'd bring this back to the top and post a little about myself just so some of you here might know me a little better rather than just by my posts.
My name is Paul Ehlers, I'm a Colorado native "fourth generation" and grew up hunting and fishing the west with my father and great uncle. My uncle Jim is the man that got me interested in hunting, guns, and taught me to shoot. He took me goose hunting with him when I was only five and I have pictures of myself with a daisy BB-Gun on that hunt and I guess you could say I've been hooked ever since.
My interest in Fox shot guns started about eight years ago. I started looking for a graded small bore and ended up buying a nice A-grade 16ga and it's been down hill ever since. I now own several Foxes and am constantly looking for the next one, budget permitting.
My true love is my dogs and upland hunting. I spend about six weeks a year following my French Brittanies though the high plains of the Dakotas and Montana chasing prairie grouse, Huns, & ringnecks.
I've included the pictures to put a face with the Handle and I hope more of you will do the same.
Here's my oldest dog Skipper and my A-16ga. The dog just finished his 12th season and the Fox it's 84th.
This is my hunting rig, my other Brit's and my 1914 CE-12ga.
I hope everyone has a great 2009,
Paul "FRBRIT"

Hi Paul
I've just ran across your post, and I just had to reply. I've always kind of held it in the back of my mind, that a guy that loves old double barrels, especially if it's foxes, is a class act! There is something about it that I can't explain. When I pick one up, my mind goes to wondering about all the places it's been over the last 75 or 100 years. How many hours of enjoyment it provided for some lucky soul. I have bought foxes from people that gave me their life history along with the gun that I bought from them along with pictures of four generations of the family that owned the fox. The fox is a special gun, and if you read up on it, you will love it even more. I've probably got 25, and wish I had 50. HaHa.....old men and their toys!
Have a great New Year, and Im sure well meet again!
