Full tank of gas, three baloney sandwiches, and 800 miles to go. See you at the Fox booth.

For those lucky enough to attend, I have just heard of at least one Fox gun that should be appearing that should really generate some buzz! Enjoy yourselves!

Will be headed down tomorrow. Should be fantastic weather. Folks bring your checkbook or large piggy banks, there will be lot of Foxes there for sale. Probably more then ever seen at one time. PS. Great steak and BBQ down there as well.

I’ve passed the Shot Tower many times going to and from Florida, but since I’m traveling solo, I figured I should stop and check it out.

Years ago while duck hunting, Dad would always explain to us the early process of making lead shot. Molten lead goes through a screen and drops down the tower into a pool of water. Fortunately, I just took pictures of the plaque in front of the tower.

Jeff,
Thanks for sharing the info on the shot tower. Very interesting! OSHA would have had a field day with that manufacturing process. Can you imagine the lead and arsenic exposure those men got who worked in the tower??
