Just picked a nice AE grade 12 at an estate auction. Decent shape. Head end of an old replacement stock pretty well broken up. Would a Sterlingworth butt fit? Anyone have a butt stock for sale or a contact who can fit a new one for me?

Dennis Earl Smith, The Stock Doctor (DES/TSD) can resurrect buttstocks that have been smashed and broken into many pieces, to the point that you cannot detect the prior damage. His work is amazing, and superb. I would see if he can rebuild it for you before going the new buttstock route. Restocking can be prohibitively expensive, except in a few circumstances, and a capable stocker would have to fit existing Fox wood to your actions anyway. They seldom just "bolt up" right.
