I am new to the group and am enjoying all the pictures and information. I have a question i looked and i can't find anything - is there any way to find the history of your specific gun by researching the serial number ? i see some of the cards on the graded guns but mine is only a sterlingworth and i am not sure if that is possible? Thanks

If you send a request to the Cody Museum they can tell you the date it was shipped, the original specifications, and the name of the store it was shipped to.

We should warn you that the Sterlingworth being an entry-level gun, made to standard specifications, and generally sold in bulk to major Jobbers/wholesalers, their production cards are pretty bleak. Here is an example from a late 1920s gun --

Up to you if this limited information is worth the Cody letter price.
