Stuck Firing Pins

I have a Savage era Fox Model B 20 gage. Got it all disassembled (with some help of you all) and cleaned up. One thing that I noticed in disassembly was that the firing pins came out real hard for firing pins. I actually had to very gently tap them out. Other firing pins I have taken out of guns have all just dropped back in. I though it was a just a dirty gun issue but now they do not just drop in. Is this normal? Do I have to tap them in? Thanks
