I’ve spent a lot of time bird hunting, but I’ve never bumped into Sophia Loren in the woods. I wonder what kind of gun she uses? Appears to have side plates and a push button forearm. Also, it has a sling which is always popular with European hunters.

Its a 16 gauge 28" barrel Gastine Rennette, originally built as a 3" pigeon gun, but cut back from 32" with sling swivels added for ease of carrying in addition to the reduced weight in the field. Very popular combination used in Italy, Spain, Greece and Morrocco in the late 1950s up through the early 1970s for shooting sparrows, meadowlarks, grackles and snipe, all of which actually were eaten as "gourmet" upland fare in many parts of Europe and North Africa. The guns enjoyed a niche market in the sporting uplands until a guy named Ennio Matarelli developed a breakthrough design over and under which was eventually named Perrazzi. Kevin

The way she let the muzzle hit the dirt, I'd have to give her a serious tongue lashing!
