Generally, Sterlingworth cards are pretty bleak --
and I'm not sure they are worth the cost.

Back when John Callahan was doing the letters, I ordered 2 for family heirloom Sterlys. All this really accomplished was it provided me with the ship dates. I believe that Cody Museum charges $75 (could be wrong). If your Sterly has a unique option, the letter may substantiate it, but otherwise it is apt to be rather generic. Just depends if you want the ship date.

Thank you guys for getting back with some imfo about the letters, I had heard about mr. Callahan but I didn't know if he was still available for letters or not, and I had no contact information, I only have 1 which is maybe a bit of a oddball?, just wanted to let the grandkids have more gun treasures from me to keep track of!

Sounds like somewhat a waste of time for the most part, I think that I would be better off, reading more posts and watching what some of you other guys think, I have already been blessed with imfo about anything that I have posted here and I appreciate everyone!

I have been able to get a few factory letters from The Savage Arms Co. In Springfield, MA. A few years ago they were about $ 65.00. Good luck.

Since then Savage sent the records to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming. FWIW Savage is in
Westfield, MA.
