Hello again everyone! I am new to the forum and to Fox, but I'm learning all I can, especially from you folks! I am reading McIntosh's book, but did not see (or might have missed) a definitive explanation on if a 3" barreled Superfox has or doesn't have the "Not Guaranteed" stamping. My Superfox doesn't have that stamping, but does have 3" stamp on the barrels. Does this mean anything? Thanks! funhog

From the Super-Fox guns I've saved pictures of it appears the BARRELS NOT GUARENTEED SEE TAG stamp was used through guns made in the 325xx range. When they started the next batch of Super-Fox guns in the 33xxx range they didn't use it. Seems odd that yours doesn't have it. Guns near your serial number do.

Still waiting for someone to come up with the Super-Fox TAG.

Perhaps the BARRELS NOT GUARANTEED-SEE TAG roll-stamp got lost (circa 1926-7) when the Godshalks moved the Fox shotgun production from the factory that had originally been built for Philadelphia Arms Co. in the 4600 block of N. 18th Street to the new plant in the 4700 block of N. 18th Street.
