I have a minty early style A grade 12 gauge, SN 19823, with the factory tag for the gun. It also had the Blue Ribbon tag with it but not numbered to the gun.
You'll see the tag has "EJECTOR" in red across it. The gun does not have auto ejectors. Some body grabbed the wrong tag blank and filled it out back then.

Beautiful collection. I really like that 30” A grade with the single trigger.

Some years back Jay Shacter had an early Wayne & Bristol Street A-Grade for sale with the original hang tag. I saved pictures of the tag but not the gun --
A few years later a poster came on the site with a B-Grade serial number 5 with the tag --

Back in 1992 I bought a 12-gauge A-Grade in high condition with 28-inch 4-weight barrels from Randy Shuman. At the May 1996, Allentown, PA, gun show, I found its hang tag. After I got a straight grip, 12-gauge, Gough-style B-Grade, with 28-inch 4-weight barrels, the A-Grade with its hang tag flowed down the river of commerce to Dave Riffle at the 2003 Vintage Cup.
Many years ago, a friend bought a minty 12-gauge Sterlingworth Standard with a box and tag. Unfortunately, the wrong box and tag!! After he got a letter on the gun our theory was that a clerk at Sears gave the customer the wrong box with his gun, as the gun had been shipped to Sears and the box has a Sears label on it. Peter gave me the box and tag and I've been on the lookout for 138945 ever since.

Researcher/Dave,
That early B12, SN 5, with the tag sure is a neat looking gun. I sure like those early style Fox's.
Is that gun still around?

The poster of the B-Grade serial number 5 joined site and did his post on March 25, 2020 --
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=9607
and according to the stats that was his only post and he hasn't visited the site since July 2020.

I discovered I do still have a gun with its hang tag. A 16-gauge No. 4E Ithaca NID --
The Tag is in pretty rough shape and held together with a lot of tape. Ithaca tag just not the quality of the Fox oil-cloth tags.
Not a tag, but I have the shipping box for my NID No. 2 Super-10 --
The C.O.D. tag shows the customer had paid $30 up front and paid the remaining $27.50 on delivery.
