A high mountain valley

I took two new hunters to a high mountain valley in West Virginia this morning. 15 pointed woodcock, 6 shots, and 4 coming home for snacks.
Here’s my two and my 20 ga Sterlingworth.

That was in north-east West Virginia.

Mike had a good day indeed. Gunner (his setter) should be in that picture, but no doubt he was pointing another Woodcock nearby at the time.

Nope. He was in the truck, but he was getting his chin scratched by one of the new hunters. He was quite happy where he was.
