Let me suggest you get a Fox ejector expert to evaluate your gun for one or multiple/interacting causes. Often the latter can be elusive and headache material. I don't believe it's practical to troubleshoot and offer fixes via random posts over the internet, and written instructions would probably take a large chapter in a book..

I assume your CE has the common Russell Patent ejectors and while less complicated a design than let's say Parker ejectors, the Fox is easily goofed up by well meaning gents and incapable 'smiths. Hopefully it hasn't been "worked on" in the past. Believe me I've seen hackers do all kinds of things on Fox ejectors; and a very real caveat is that parts, once modified, can't be easily replaced because the source of at least some NOS/in the white Fox ejector parts has suspended business. Then if you find parts on the internet often they've already been goofed up or are rejects that were incorrectly machined. Been there!

All this leads to: who is a good Fox ejector 'smith? I’m not in the business and only work on guns I own or for local friends, and hence don't have any personal recommendations based on using Tom, Dick or Harry but maybe some of our other users and members do. Hopefully based on experience getting their own ejectors repaired/retimed and not because some fella's website looks good or he did some good Fox work that doesn't pertain to ejectors. Good luck!

Just some additional comments: often I've read on another SxS collector site that "congealed grease or a burr" can cause ejector problems, and while that may be true for that maker's ejector design I'll proffer that I've fixed/retimed dozens of Fox Russell Patent ejectors and have never found that to be true. It's always been a mechanical problem that developed though long use, abuse or mods by hackers. Not saying that can't happen with Fox but I'd say it's very unlikely and that disassembly for deep cleaning will likely not bear fruit. frank

Thanks for that....i think you are right. i have concluded that the trip on right side is defective. when i put the hammer through cycle to where the trip extends...i can push it back in with my finger...the left one i can't. guess i'm gonna have to sell it as is.

thanks again for your help.

Sorry about your CE woes. FWIW, in the Spring 2016 newletter, there is a good article on the mechanics of late ejectors. Working on those is for the highly skilled only.
