Kudos to Craig Larter for his excellent articles on 8 ga. shotguns in the latest edition of Parker Pages. I've been familiar with punt guns "forever", but I don't think I've ever seen a picture of a "battery gun" for duck hunting. Great information and great commentary. Jeff

I also enjoyed Craig’s article on the history of the 8 gauge.

Good job Craig,

Jeff,

For some good reads on the use of the big guns around the Chesapeake Bay try some of the books by C. John Sullivan, Jr. I have enjoyed the lengthy titled Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Decoys & Long Guns; Tales of Carroll's Island Ducking Club and also Chesapeake Ducking Guns - Baltimore Made -.

It was the first article I read in this issue, Craig. You made some important points that had to have been based on extensive research. Thanks for that.
