Re: custom foxes
The more I look at this gun the more I find that I like about it. I like seeing things "in balance", but not necessarily perfectly balanced. As far as eye appeal, the ebony heel and toe "plates" are a gorgeous, but subtle, reminder of the ebony forend tip. I would really like to know who did this gun's stock work.

Re: custom foxes
A very attractive gun for sure. my only issue with that engraving is the odd egg shape to the side game scenes. I know that they followed the contour of the frame, but they really should have made is a symmetrical oval and just added some scroll on the front side of it to fill up the rest of the panel. Who knows why people make the decisions they do. But other than that, what a great find. The work all looks top notch.

Re: custom foxes
Whomever the engraver was knew that there were 10 primary feathers on a duck. That is often missed. Was taught that by a now deceased engraver by the name of Ken Hurst. Quite famous in his day. Actually engraved all the pistols in the Sharon Stone movie "The Quick and the Dead".
